nothing prepared for the experience inside. we did the devi darshan amidst the continuous chanting of ohm. oh what a calming ambience it created in the middle of our mad pandal hopping- somewhat similar to our experience of 25 palli, kidderpore
the face or was it the aura surrounding the protima could , i believe, convert a hardened criminal to a saint. it was a beautiful and humiliating(i mean, humbling experience. i stand corrected, aparna)

according to what i saw i vote this as the best themed mandap. the approach to the mandap is along a shallow blue pool. on entering that coolness was transformed into a lovely calm inside the mandap. it was a beautiful experience.
The theme this year was on Himachal pradesh. dont know why i was disappointed......... maybe becoz i keep comparing with the rajasthan theme last year or was it the kerala theme the year before that(which i simply cant forget.)
more than to appreciate the decor or idol this is the IN place to be for the pandal hopping, ,mobile clutching youngsters of Kolkata. one could hear them screaming over n above the dhakis, "where r u?..............."
